Buying a Business
Meritage Partners objective is to make each prospective buyer feel comfortable with the fact that we are presenting them with viable business opportunities. Some of the things a buyer can expect from Meritage Partners are:
Confidentiality - It is our policy for each buyer to sign a Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement to protect the prospective sellers information.
Buyer Due Diligence - We profile each prospective buyer to verify their financial ability, experience and sincerity of purpose.
Offering Memorandum - Upon receipt of an executed confidentiality agreement, Meritage Partners will present prospective buyers with an offering memorandum that includes information that is pertinent to their decision on whether or not to proceed to the next step of the transaction.
Meeting With Seller - We will arrange a private meeting between prospective buyers and sellers to determine whether there is a proper fit between the parties, tour facilities (where applicable) and discuss specific questions with each party.
Offer/Due-Diligence - When necessary and applicable, we assist the buyer in drafting the Letter of Intent and Purchase Agreement and will convey responses to any counter offers.
